VET NURSE - KUMEU

About the position
We are now looking for a applicants for a full-time Equine Vet Nurse position.
This is an opportunity to work with two experienced, dedicated equine field veterinarians.
This is a rapidly expanding area of our practise, and an enthusiastic new team member is required to support our busy vets.
The role involves assisting with a wide variety of field procedures including, but not limited to, radiography, endoscopy, lameness, joint injections, castrations, dentistry, and breeding and foal work.
The role also includes some administrative duties such as billing, client communication, and oversight of inventory and supplies.
Transport of equipment and lab samples is also required, so a full driver’s licence is essential.
The position is full-time with hours generally from 8:00am to 5:30pm. However, for the right candidate, there may be some flexibility with scheduling.

About Veterinary Associates Equine
Veterinary Associates Equine is an equine general and referral practice with a hospital in Karaka, New Zealand and a satellite practice in Kumeu, West Auckland.
With a total of sixteen veterinarians on staff, the Kumeu and Karaka practices work together to provide both general and referral services to horses throughout the Auckland region.
The Kumeu practice is heavily involved in all types of equine pursuits, with sport horses and pleasure horses making up the majority of the caseload.
In addition, there are Thoroughbred and Standardbred racehorses in the area, providing a tremendous variety of work.
Kumeu is a lovely rural community located just thirty minutes from Auckland’s central business district. With world class wineries, hiking, horseback riding, fishing, and surfing, it is a great place to live and work.
